by two local men, William Farnworth and Allan Watson. Their aim was to provide a
comprehensive, local legal service to the people of Nelson and Colne. With offices in both towns we can still offer that same comprehensive local legal service. Our aim now is to offer skilled legal help to a much wider client base. We deal with a wide range of work but specialising in Accidents, Family, Property and Wills and Criminal work. We hold a Legal Aid Quality Franchise in the Family and Criminal categories. CIVIL JUSTICE REFORMS The biggest legal reforms in 100 years are now in force. The Civil Procedure Rules are designed to speed up civil claims by giving the courts more powers than they had before to manage cases and to enable them to be dealt with more economically. We are fully committed to the spirit of these Rules and will do everything we can to make them work to our clients' advantage. We are already beginning to see the effects spread throughout the system in the form of quicker turn round times for cases and more positive and constructive responses from opposing parties.
