We get many requests for genealogical information; particularly from people in the US, Canada and Australia trying to trace their ancestry.
Until now we have had to turn down most requests due to lack of resources. Now we can carry out genealogical research in Pendle and surrounding area.
Here's what we can offer:
| | Access to the 1881 Census Records for England, Scotland, Wales, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. |
| | Searching the Birth, Marriage and Death Records for England and Wales from 1837. |
| | Researching the Parish Registers for Baptisms, Marriages and Burials in Colne Nelson, Burnley and the surrounding Pendleside villages. Many of these Parish Records go back to the 15 & 16th centuries. |
| | We can also trace deaths of most of the men who served in the Great War (1914-19) and the Second World War (1939-46). All we need is the soldiers name and initials. If you can supply additional information such as Regiment, Birth Place, Age, Regimental Number it would be a great help. We can then tell you where he was killed and where he is buried. |
The cost of this service is £10 per hour or US$15 per hour. Additional to this, copies of birth, marriage and death certificates obtained from The General Records Office cost £8.50 (US$12), including postage.
Print out of this information costs £3 (incl. P&P) or US$5 plus postage.
