The Pendle Way

Barrowford to Water Meetings

Especially Designed for Wheelchair Users

Route

1. Park by the Maltings on the right after the Bridge Inn on Gisburn Road.
2. Go down to Higherford Bridge and cross the road with caution in front of the public toilet.  Turn right along the mill side to reach Barleydale Road.
3. Follow the path keeping Pendle Water on your right until you reach the bridge at Water Meetings.
4. Return to Higherford by the same path.

Construction of the footpath was a joint venture between the Borough of Pendle and Pendle Re-employment Project.
