£3bn online retail market By 2003 it is expected that the UK online market will be worth £3 billion! This according to a report by Fletcher Research. And what are we doing about it in the UK? Letting the American's take it away. On the whole UK retailers have such a lack of vision and understanding of e-commerce that they are letting US companies come in and ever increasingly take away their market. According to the report, computers will dominate the online sales making up £1.3bn of the total. Travel should be worth £490M and books & music £355M. It's about time UK retailers woke up and smelled the coffee - soon it may be Folgers instead of Nescafe! See the BBC report on this
