ArtBarns - A group of UK and international artists who have the humanitarian and social well-being of the communities of Forest of Bowland and its outlying districts at heart.  They have developed an arts project that will go on over the summer of 1999, putting works of art into unused and still used barns throughout the trough of Bowland, their main concern is the diminishing lifestyle and non prosperity of the rural communities at large, (hill farmers are the lowest paid workers in Europe), with the rest of Lancashire's workers not that far in front.
