Online Wedding Bells Controversial, right-wing, TV-evangelist, Jerry Falwell will be conducting his first virtual wedding via the Internet on New Year's Eve. A couple, Dale and Lorrie (surnames withheld for privacy), from Pennsylvania will be the "happy" couple. Dale works for the ISP that carries Falwell's online evangelism program, SRT Enterprises, Inc. Only invited guests will be allowed into their password protected site so that bandwidth can be controlled. An archive of the event will be made available on the site for public viewing after the event. A list of online wedding resource sites can be seen at Yahoo!
Meanwhile in Baghdad News from "the other side" was being reported on the UK version of AOL's web site as Iraqi journalist Subhy Haddad answered questions from net users about what was happening in Baghdad on Thursday. The Q&A session lasted a half hour, and about 12,000 people participated in the new media experience, said Paul Eedle, director of Out There News.
